Web Development
I bring strong graphic design skills and experience in communications to website development, resulting in sites that effectively communicate and promote your ministry goals. My mission is to help Christian churches and ministries communicate the riches of the Word of God to the world. I bring to your site strength in coordinating visual, textual, and other media which communicate clearly and easily with the viewer.
When I set up your site I use a CMS (content management system) which includes blogging and other web technologies. This means that your site is dynamic, provides interaction with visitors, and can be changed via a web browser by anyone you choose to provide with with password access.
Typically I set up a site in two stages.
Stage 1. I’ll discuss with you what you wish to have on your site, set up an account with a web host provider, and secure a URL address such as www.yoursite.org (if needed). Then I set up the database, main structure, and basic design and content of the site, adding text to the main navigation areas. Among the basic features which I incorporate are:
- Secure contact location page
- Blog with comments
- Google maps embedded on page
- Links to other sites
- Bible Verse of the Day
- Logo (recommended)
- Spam control
Stage 2. I receive your feedback and then add, delete, and make other modifications you desire. The main idea is getting the site looking the way you want it to look. During this stage I give further attention to graphics and incorporate photos of your church or organization into the site.
Maintenance & further development. A key problem to avoid in your Internet presentation is "site neglect." To keep your site fresh and engaging, I can provide a site maintenance program. A basic monthly maintenance fee provides phone support, further development, additional features, and changes during the month. In addition, I can provide special resources for church members and incorporate other features which include:
